Do you feel like your Android phone can do more than it shows? You're right. Android hides a bunch of powerful features that most people never explore. In this post, I’m going to show you 5 hidden Android settings that can make your phone faster, smarter, and more secure.

1. Developer Options – Unlock Advanced Features

Most people never touch Developer Options—but it’s a goldmine. To unlock it:

Go to Settings > About Phone

Tap Build Number seven times

Boom! You’re a developer now.

From here, you can:

Speed up animations (make phone feel faster)

Limit background apps (save battery)

Monitor CPU usage (helpful for gamers)

2. Digital Wellbeing – Control Your Screen Time

Do you often scroll mindlessly? Digital Wellbeing helps you:

Track app usage

Set screen time limits

Enable Focus Mode (blocks distracting apps)

This setting is perfect if you want to use your phone more intentionally.

3. Hidden App Permissions

Every time you install an app, it asks for permissions. But most users forget to review them. Go to:

Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Permissions

Here, disable what doesn’t make sense. For example:

A calculator app doesn’t need location access.

A photo editor doesn’t need your microphone.

It feels like magic.

Great for texting while holding coffee.
